What customers say?

“ For those seeking a unique and pleasant dining experience in Ainslie, Breizh Cafe is certainly worth considering. While the cafe might not transport you to the streets of France, its French-themed decor, featuring art, flags, and various charming knick-knacks, adds an inviting touch to the overall ambiance. During my visit, I indulged in a lemon curd and strawberry crepe while my friend opted for a bacon and egg galette. The dishes were a delight - both beautifully presented and packed with flavors that satisfied our palates. The portion sizes were reasonable, offering a fulfilling meal without being overly filling. The service at Breizh Cafe was commendable, with prompt and friendly staff navigating the bustling cafe efficiently. Despite being packed, there was a consistent flow of people that kept the energy of the place vibrant and lively. Soft piano music playing in the background added a soothing touch to the overall dining experience. As for the pricing, it was fair considering the quality of the food and the portion sizes, though the prices for sides seemed slightly steep. Overall, Breizh Cafe provides a delightful French culinary experience, earning a solid 7 out of 10. While I'm not in a rush to return, I can certainly see myself going back for another round of their delicious crepes and galettes. If you're in Ainslie and in the mood for a touch of France, Breizh Cafe is worth a visit. ”

“ It was great to see a French cafe offering traditional crepes, galettes and pastries. The savoury galettes were delicious, and the coffee was pretty reasonable. We may have arrived just before a fresh batch of pastries were brought out, but otherwise these were still good. They also do raclette too (minimum two people), which will definitely bring us back for lunch! ”

“ OPEN FROM 9AM TO 3PM, WEDNESDAY TO SUNDAY. At the Ainslie shop in a corner next to the Chemist is a French ???????? restaurant specialising in French food from Brittany. They opened the doors over 9 years ago (2014), and last year, the new owners came to the restaurant (2022) and kept it a French restaurant. I recommend this quaint and cosy France restaurant , French ???????? people love to cook in butter , and Breizh Cafe gets the butter comes from Brittany. The wonderful staff was so helpful, showing me the table , and the service is excellent, Breizh Cafe has a wonderful atmosphere . Every week they have special meals that you must try, so delicious come and try the delicious special food's. Winter is here. They make hot soups . Every week, there is new soup on the menu. Come get there, hot soups off the week, it will warm you . I had a French ???????? breakfast - toasted Brioche , a warm Croissant and a fresh Baguette slice with Beurre Breton (butter from Brittany), strawberry jam, Nutella or Organic honey and a cappuccino. Wow , I had the best breakfast just now it melted in your mouth , that is, mushroom crepes, with gruyere, mushrooms, and potatoes sauteed in parsley with Garlic Butter and Baby Spinach. The last time I had potatoes for my breakfast when I was younger, my mum asked what you would like for breakfast, and I said POTATOES ! Come have the Mushroom Crepes, I believe you will love that meal . We had breakfast, smoked salmon, with Gruyere, tomato, hard Boiled Egg , capers Sour Cream and a Wedge of Lemon. Prawns with Gruyere in a Cream Leek, compile and fresh Asparagus , topped with chilli flakes. Strawberry with Nutella and icecream , (or Jam, Leatherwood Honey , or Maple Syrup. You can take a coffee or tea with some cakes and cupcakes , as Takeaway. ”

“ One of the best croissants in Canberra. Authentic French food. Everything is a must try The coffee was also good and the lively streets during the weekend with the outdoor seating was really a relaxing breakfast. I also got a brioche loaf and I recommend that as well ”

“ A nice little french inspired cafe. Good service, reasonable prices, nice vibe. They brought table water, cutlery and salt and pepper without us having to ask. The staff were pleasant and the place was clean. The coffee was quite good. The omelette was nice, as was the lemon curd and strawberry crepe. Medium portion sizes, maybe slightly on the smaller side but the pricing matches the portions. A lovely spot for a brunch or other meal with lush green trees outside. Plenty of outdoor seating and indoor seating. Decent range on the menu. Accessible for wheelchairs and prams. Close to the IGA, a couple of boutiques and the delightful bakery if you want a wander after your meal. Possibly family friendly, although my sister in law said she visited here and they said she couldn't feed her toddler food that she'd brought for her. It would help their business if parents could come for a meal with fussy toddlers in tow, and be able to feed them food that they're used to. It also makes it affordable to go out by not having to pay a full meal for a small child who probably won't eat it. ”

“ Date/time of visit: 19 May 2022 @ 11:00 I found this cafe for my partner so she could have a lovely breakfast. And she loved the savoury crepes. For me, I prefer simple breakfasts and can't handle rich foods that early in the morning. The crepes were great but, for me, rich flavouring. The quality was excellent and the crepes were made with care. For my partner, these crepes were exactly what she wanted and loved them. The staff were friendly and there appears to be a number of customers they know by name (always a good sign of a quality cafe). ”
